A 20-year-old French woman, who was reported missing from Pushkar for last 13 days, has been found at Rajasthan’s Alwar district, where she was learning organic farming.
According to the police, Gaelle Chouteau, a French national is safe at a farmhouse in a village of Alwar and is learning organic farming from villagers. “As soon as we got information that she is in a farmhouse in our district, we spotted her at a farmhouse where she was learning organic farming”, Alwar SP Rahul Prakash confirmed.
Chouteau wanted to learn organic farming and was googling about it and came to know about this farm, police said. “After knowing about the farm she contacted them and they asked her to come over. For last two weeks she was living at the farm and learning organic farming,’ Rahul Prakash added.
As per police, her Indian telephone number is not working and she had sent an Internet message to her parents, which they checked on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, French Embassy in New Delhi had made an appeal to locate her. The official website had displayed photographs of the 21-year-old woman missing since June 1 from Rajasthan.
Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India tweeted, “Ms Galle CHOUTEAU, 20 years, 5’3″, has been missing since 1st June 2018. When last in touch, she was leaving Pushkar to go to Jaipur. Soon after French Ambassador tweeted, Ajmer Police looked into the matter and found that the woman stayed at Amar Palace Hotel in Pushkar on May 30 and 31 before she went missing. Sources Deccan Herald
