Dehradun: Mountaineer Kumari Amisha Chauhan held a courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat at his residence on Thursday evening. Amisha, who had returned to India after successfully scaling the highest peak of Europe Continent – Mount Elbrus, told the Chief Minister that this campaign was started at 2.38 am on May 6, 2018 and alongwith the national flag, she also hoisted ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ banner at Mount Elbrus.
Chief Minister congratulated and extended his wishes to Amisha for her successful effort. He said that this achievement has once again proven that girls are no less than anyone in any field and can touch any height. He said that this brave effort is inspirational for the crores of youth of the country, particularly girls. He said that state government was laying special emphasis on the promotion of the sports and developing sports culture.
