Dehradun: On behalf of the people of the Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat today expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal for starting Naini-Doon Janshatabdi Express. Chief Minister said that after All Weather Road, Rishikesh-Karnprayag Rail Project, the Naini-Doon Janshatabdi Express, just a day before Raksha Bandhan, is a big gift from Centre government to Uttarakhand. He said that by starting another rail service from Kathgodam to Dehradun, a big wish of the people of Uttarakhand has been fulfilled. He said that this rail service, while expanding the connect between Garhwal and Kumaon, will become lifeline for the people of the state. This will increase tourism as well as business activities. Notably, Chief Minister had to go to Kathgodam for flagging of the Naini-Doon Janshatabdi Express Rail Service but due to bad weather, he could not go.
While expressing happiness on the Naini-Doon Janshatabdi Express Rail Service, Chief Minister said that while fulfilling the promise of “Atal Ji Ne Banaya – Modi Ji Sawarenge”, Prime Minister has always given priority to Uttarakhand. He said that youth will get 100 per cent placement after undergoing course at Plastic Engineering Institute ‘CIPET’ started in the state. He further said that with the formation of the Drone Application Centre and Cyber Security Centre, the youth will get employment after undergoing courses pertaining to Drone Application and Cyber Security. Chief Minister added that the scheme of organic farming of Rs 1500 crore approved for the state will prove to be important in doubling the income of farmers. Connectivity will increase through helicopter services under the ‘Udaan’ project, which will attract entrepreneurs for investment. Through Jan Aushadhi Centres, medicines at cheaper rate are being provided to the public. With the selection of Dehradun for organizing International Yoga Day, the attention of the whole world went towards the Yoga tradition of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
