New Delhi: National Zoological Park, New Delhi (Delhi Zoo) celebrated 10th birthday of White Tiger (Vijay) today. The purpose of this celebration was to create awareness about tiger and the importance of food chain in our ecosystem. A group of students and staff from Ramjas School, Sector 4, R.K. Puram attended the programme.
A ‘Walk for Vijay’ – the rally was inaugurated by Director, National Zoological Park was held to mark the occasion. The walk was concluded in Tiger enclosure (Vijay). The birthday cake of White Tiger (Vijay) was cut by the school children. A film on Delhi zoo was shown to the students and staff of school. A quiz competition related to tiger was conducted in the education centre and prizes were distributed on the spot.
