New Delhi: National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has taken initiatives to promote the digitalization campaign launched by Government of India. To make the Force personnel aware about the use of latest technology and promote a cashless economy, various awareness programmes have been arranged by bank representatives at its HQ in New Delhi to encourage them to use e-wallets for their daily expenses.
Shri R. K Pachnanda, Director General, NDRF instructed all Battalions Commandant to encourage their subordinates to install apps on their mobile phones for cashless transactions and instructed to start all procurement process either official or non-official through e-medium. Special sessions are being organized by the bank representatives to make NDRF personnel aware about the online system in all NDRF battalions which are stationed across the country. The move will also help the NDRF responders to aware with the new age banking system. The efforts are also being made to improve the online infrastructure to ensure that each and every personnel of NDRF can be benefitted and motivate their family members as well as relatives.
The personnel of NDRF are highly delighted as it is the safe and easiest medium to carry out transaction and credit amount to their family members without standing in long queues. This move will definitely encourage the overall performance as well as procurement system in the Force and encourage all personnel to go cashless as it is convenient, secure and reduce time and cost.
