Union Minister Nitin Gadkari today met Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan at their residence as part of BJP’s “contact for support” campaign.
During the nearly 50-minute-long meeting, Gadkari explained to Khans all the work that BJP has done in the last four years. He also informed them about the all round development of Vidarbha region and how it has now become the Tiger capital.
The minister also invited Salman to become an ambassador for the cycling track on the Delhi-Meerut Green Expressway. “Because of this highway, there has been a 27 per cent reduction of pollution,” Gadkari informed Salman.
The actor also showed keen interest in the Delhi-Mumbai Super Express Highway that would connect the two cities with a travel time of just 12 hours.
Salim Khan had said before the scheduled meeting that he was looking forward to meeting Gadkari as he had never met the minister personally. However, after the meet he refused to say anything.
The Khan duo had been present for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in and has met him on several occasions.
