New Delhi: Minister of State for Planning (IC) and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Shri Rao Inderjit Singh, in a written reply to a question on anomalies being observed in the fertilizer prices in the country, in Lok Sabha today, informed that no anomalies/steep rise in the prices of various fertilizers has been seen during the current/previous year.
Shri Singh informed that in line with fall in international prices during the year 2016-17, the prices of P&K fertilizers had come down by Rs. 190/-, Rs. 250/- and Rs. 50/- per 50 Kg bag of DAP, MOP and Complex Fertilizers respectively during the year 2016-17.
In a written reply to a separate question in Lok Sabha today, the Minister informed that the prices of DAP, MOP and Complex fertilizers have decreased during 2017-18 as compared to 2016-17 by 4.06%, 7.05% and 1.77% respectively, while MRP of Urea is same for both the years.
Shri Singh further added that farmers are getting DAP, MOP and Complex fertilizers at reduced rates by 4.06%, 7.05% and 1.77% respectively while they are getting Urea at same rate during the 2017-18 as compared to 2016-17.
Further, in a written reply to a separate question in Lok Sabha today, Shri Singh informed that there is no report of non-availability of fertilizers from any of the States/UTs during the current year as the availability of fertilizers was adequate across the country.The details of requirement, availability and sales of fertilizers during the current year 2017-18 (upto 22.03.2018) are given in the table below:
