Asserting that his son Jay Shah had done nothing wrong in his commodities business, BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday, 15 October came down heavily on Rahul Gandhi, saying the Congress vice president did not even know the difference between turnover and profit.
Rejecting the allegation against his son, whose company had reportedly recorded an extraordinary spike in business after the BJP came to power at the Centre, as “without evidence”, he said everyone has right to move court.
Amit Shah also defended Jay Shah’s defence by Union Minister Piyush Goyal.
“Piyush Goyal came to defend as BJP leader and not as minister. And what crime he has committed if he defended. Don’t we have a right to represent our case. What is wrong?”
he asked.
