Reliance Jio continues to offer unlimited calls, but here’s the fineprint you must rea

Uncategorized

One of the biggest attraction of being on the Reliance Jio network is unlimited calls. But as is the case with most good things in life, there’s some fineprint involved.

A report by Gadgets 360 claims that Reliance Jio’s unlimited calls promise comes with a restriction of five hours. The report adds it’s a restriction on every user over a single call. Exceeding that duration could deactivate outgoing calls for that particular day.

According to the terms and conditions mentioned on the Reliance Jio website, most plans under Jio continue to have unlimited outgoing calls. However, there are a few prepaid and postpaid plans that cap voice call durations for a day. Jio calls these plans Every Day More Value Plans.

Jio pegs commercial use of voice on its Every Day More Value Plans “as outgoing voice usage of 300 minutes per day or 1200 minutes for 7 days or 3,000 minutes per month (28 days), whichever is earlier. Calling to 100 unique MSIDNs in a rolling 7 day period will also constitute commercial usage.”

Additionally, according to a disclaimer on the Reliance Jio website under terms and conditions for plans on its website, “these plan are intended only for personal use of included services. RJIL reserves the right to discontinue the free Voice benefits offered as part of this Plan in case of misuse/ fraudulent use/ unauthorised telemarketing and commercial use.” Which means, in case of the plans mentioned above, if a user does extend those many minutes, RJIL reserves the right to discontinue the free voice benefit of the plan
