New Delhi: Republic Day was celebrated at Prayagraj Kumbh, with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Besides administrative officers, Saints and seers also unfurled the tricolour at their camps to celebrate the Republic Day.
A camp was set up by Baba Balkeshwar Nath in sector 14 to pay homage to the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives to the country. Tricolour was unfurled by saints and family members of the martyrs this morning. Similarly saints and seers of Atal Akhara also unfurled the Tricolour at their Akhara and sung National Anthem. They also distributed sweets to the people. Chief Executive officer of Prayagraj Mela Authority Vijay Kiran Anand IAS unfurled the national flag at authority office. Mela police Chief Deputy Inspector General KP Singh also unfurled the Tricolour.
