Dehradun: Urban Development, Housing, Rajiv Gandhi Urban Housing Scheme, Census, Reorganisation & Elections Minister Mr. Madan Kaushik took a meeting on the urban development in Vidhan Sabha meeting hall on Friday. In the meeting, he instructed to speed up the RERA registration process, more and more people should be registered and the online system should be in proper order. In this regard, he said that grievance redressal of consumers should be expedited. He took information about Metro Mobility Plan. In view of tourism, Ropeway will be started near Ganga in Haridwar, Rishikesh. it was instructed to prepare the DPR till February end by studying the feasibility of ropeway in Haridwar-Rishikesh near Ganga. PRT, LRT would be started between Haridwar-Nepalese Farm-Rishikesh-Dehradun. In this regard, two other experts have been deployed in the Metro project. Apart from this, it has been instructed to study between the airport and Purukul for the ropeway connecting Airport to Mussoorie. For LRT, PRT, a meeting will soon be held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister.
Instructions have been given to accelerate the process of taking the vacant land of the Urban Land Sealing Act 1974 into the possession of the state. In this regard, 84 land have been earmarked and 33 of which have been registered in the name of state government. This custodian of these land is MDDA.
