Dehradun: Himgiri Zee University in association with Uttarakhand S.P. Traffic Dhirendra Gunjyal addressed students on Road SafetyPolice organized a session on Road Safety for its students and employees. On this occasion presentation were made by S.P. Traffic (Dehradun) Mr. Dhirendra Gunjyal and Dr. Himanshu Kochar . They addressed the meeting and made various on how to be safe on road and in case of accidents how a life could be saved.
For last two months the In house community Radio Station of the University, 107.8FM Himgiri Ki Awaaz has been airing the programme of Road Safety in collaboration with Doon Police.
S.P Traffic Mr. Gunjyal while addressing the students said “it is in a blink of an eye that one loses his or her life on road and thus we should be very careful while travelling on the roads. It is one and all responsibility. He further addressed students and staff on how to be safe on the road by following various traffic rules and signage on the roads. He stressed on many areas of road safety such as use of seat belts, helmets and drunken driving etc.
Dr. Himanshu Kochar, Senior Orthopedics , Max Hospital made the presentation on the medical ways and solutions in case of a fatal injury. He emphasized that it is extremely important to take an injured person to hospital within first hour of accident.
On the occasion Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rakesh Ranjan welcomed the SP Traffic and and Dr. Kochar by acknowledging the efforts of Uttarakhand Police in creating awareness amongst the masses.
On the occasion Registrar Dr. Suresh Dhyani, Chief Finance Officer Mr. Anterdeep Singh, Senior Administrative Officer Mr. Vishnu Mathur and various other faculty members were present.
The programme was arranged and coordinated by Mass Communication Department.
