New Delhi: ‘While facing the unrest in the northeastern region of the country, Kashmir region and internal security challenges, our police forces, paramilitary forces and army personnel stayed committed for nation’s safety despite lack of some facilities available for them. Their self-strength is unparalleled in the world”, stated Union Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Sushri Uma Bharti in Nagpur today. She was speaking on the occasion of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ programme arranged for CRPF personnel at Central Reserve Police Force Group Centre, Hingna Road. Sushri Uma Bharti greeted CRPF Soldiers, officials and their family members on the occasion of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and participated in ‘Raksha Bandhan’ celebration by imprinting tika to soldiers and officials in CRPF.
‘Nation’s security is ensured either by killing enemy or by sacrificing owns life. Inspired with sheer patriotism and complete dedication, our paramilitary and other security forces are continuously working and always on toes, she underlined. Women’s respect is paramount for security forces- personnel. As per the writings in Shastras, both yogi in Himalaya and soldiers who become martyrs at the border, attains salvation, she opined. Women in uniform perform various responsibilities as a good wife, mother and sister, the Minister added. The Minister also planted a saplings in the premises of CRPF.
Shri Sunil Singh, Inspector General, Central Reserve Police Force, Shri Akhilesh Pratap Singh, DIG, CRPF and family members of CRPF officers and Jawans in large numbers were present during the programme.
