Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat held a meeting with the delegation of the Kumaon-Garhwal Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the SIIDCUL Worker Welfare Association at Secretariat on Tuesday to resolve the various problems of industries in the state.
Chief Minister said that 32 doctors have been appointed recently to provide health facilities to the workers working in large number of industrial estates in Udham Singh Nagar, out of which, 31 doctors have started their services in hospitals. At the same time, the doctors working on the contract have not been removed, so that adequate medical facilities are available. The construction work of a hundred-bed hospital in Rudrapur is in progress.
Chief Minister has directed the officers concerned to examine the suggestion of making the rent/transfer process of the shed/plots in state industrial estates simple and levy free. Chief Minister invited suggestions from the industrial representatives in connection with the closure of the VAT arrears from the year 1988 till financial year 2016-17 and the scheme to be brought for interest/penalization. He also issued instructions to the Public Works Department for the construction of the MPDG route to Aharpura-Kataiya route in Mahuakheraganj in Kashipur.
Along with it, Chief Minister instructed to examine the suggestion to remove rice from the schedule of Mandi committee. A proposal for amendment of increase in 10 percent fee under the Factory Act every year will be brought in the Cabinet. Chief Minister said that the state government is constantly working to develop basic infrastructure for industrial development in the state.
