Dehradun: State Transport, Social Welfare, Minority Welfare, Students Welfare, Rural Water Reservoirs Development, Remote Areas Development, Sub-Divisional Development and Management and Backward Areas Development Minister, Mr. Yashpal Arya chaired a meeting regarding construction ISBT, Haldwani by the Transport department at Vidhan Sabha auditorium.
In the meeting, the Committee constituted under chairmanship of Transport Department Managing Director tabled its report. As per the report, three sites have been selected for the construction of bus stand. The first sites for bus stand is proposed at Global Land Cooperative Private Limited, Nova Steel, Kamalwa Gaja; second near the forest training centre and third near the Open University.
In the meeting, directions were issued that officials of the PWD, Irrigation, Revenue and Forest Department should conduct a survey and submit their report. The proposed bus stand would be constructed under the long term plan and a workshop would also be constructed near the Bus Stand. For the work in this regard, the budgetary provisions would be made.
Secretary (Transport) D Senthil Pandiyan, MD (Transport) Brijesh Sant, Additional Secretary (Transport) HC Semwal, Additional Secretary (Finance) LN Pant, SDM Haldwani AP Vajpayee, RTO Rajeev Kumar Mehra etc. were present.
