Dehradun: Urban Development, Housing, Rajiv Gandhi Urban Housing Scheme, Census, Reorganisation & Elections Minister Mr. Madan Kaushik graced the inaugural ceremony of two-day National Workshop for engineers to be held at Uttarakhand State Center, near the ISBT.
He said that in any state, the engineers take important responsibility of construction work. There is a direct connection between technology and development. As a Chief Guest in the workshop jointly organized by Bureau of Indian Standard and Urban Development and Housing Department, Mr. Kaushik said that it will be appropriate to make laws related to construction work only on the model given by the engineers. If this is not done, then the possibility of that law becoming unsuccessful remains.
He said that according to today’s standards, there cannot be housing, where there is land on the mountain and where house can be built, there is no land. Minister said that the state will be developed with a far-sighted approach.
He said that if necessary, then the law will also be amended, while adding because all the models have to be adjusted according to the changing situation. The target of the government is to provide accommodation to all the citizens of the state. State Government will make its policy accordingly. The goal of the government is to build 1 lakh houses.
