Triumph Launches Street Triple RS Performance Bike at Rs 10.5 Lakh
Uncategorized

There are some bikes which just make you feel the adrenaline rush. The regular Triumph Street Triple S is one of them, and now, Triumph India has launched the Street Triple RS, priced at Rs 10.55 lakh ex-showroom, across India.

The bike comes with a 765 cc triple-cylinder engine (from where it gets its name), putting out 121 bhp of power at 11,700 rpm and 77 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed transmission.

This engine is a tuned-up version of its sibling’s motor, which ups the fun quotient for the rider. Its slip-assist clutch allows for clutchless upshifts making gearshifts 2.5 times faster than with the use of the clutch.

The new 2018 Triumph Street Triple RS has a few styling changes, but the most effective changes are to the performance of the machine. It is a track-oriented motorcycle, and gets the hardware to go with it.

The Street Triple RS is shod with Pirelli Diablo SuperCorsa tyres with a wide 180 section rear and 120 section width front, running on 17-inch rims. It is also loaded with safety technology. Braking is handled by twin 310 mm front discs with 4-pot callipers, while the rear brake is a 220 mm disc. It comes with switchable ABS (which can be turned off if needed) and switchable traction control.

The engine is liquid-cooled and fuel injected. It features a ride-by-wire (cable-less) throttle system, for better control. Giving it racing credentials are the riding modes -Rain, Road, Sport, Track and Rider, which can be customised. It also comes with a lap-timer.

The instrument console on the Triumph Street Triple RS is a 5-inch colour TFT display. The controls are easy to handle, and the riding stance is fairly aggressive, with a forward-leaning position, but not as aggressive as its cousin the Triumph Daytona.

Twin-pod LED DRL headlamps give it a mean look. The instrument panel can be adjusted for angle, and the controls now have a joystick like feel to them. The Street Triple RS is available in two colour options – metallic silver or phantom black.
