New Delhi: Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has stressed upon fast and transparent implementation of schemes for the welfare of the Minorities. He was inaugurating a workshop on “Financial Management” was organised by National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC) here today. The Minister expressed the hope that the workshop will help the officials of the respective State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) to improve their capacities & capabilities in delivering the benefits of the schemes to the targeted Minorities.
The workshop was attended by Heads of the SCAs of NMDFC along with field level functionaries from 22 SCAs. The officials from Sister Apex Corporations viz., National SC Finance & Development Corporation (NSCFDC), National BC Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) and organisations under the Ministry of Minority Affairs viz., NAWADCO, MAEF also participated in the workshop. The function was also attended by ShriAmeisingLuikham, Secretary, Minority Affairs and other senior officials.
The Faculty from India Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad; Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) and National Institute of Banking & Finance had conducted the workshop and covered topics such as Financial Management for Non Finance Managers, Understanding and Analysis of the Financial Statements, Recovery management for Social Sector Lending Programmes & Statutory Compliances for Credit Institutions.
The program was well received by the participants and said that sessions have been very enlightening. The participants also observed that interactions held during the workshop will help them to further strengthen the implementation of schemes of NMDFC so that the benefit effectively reaches the needy persons from the target groups.
