University School of Mass Communication (USMC) of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) organised 10-day (12 December to 22 December) Research Methodology Workshop for PhD scholars. The workshop was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
The Valedictory ceremony was presided by Vice Chancellor of GGSIPU – Profesor Anil K. Tyagi. Prof. Shin Dong Kim, Founding Director of the Institute for Communication Arts and Technology, Hallym University, South Korea who was the chief guest of the workshop. Also, Dean (USMC) – Prof. Anup S. Beniwal and the coordinators of the workshop – Dr. Durgesh Tripathi and Dr. Sachin Bharti shared the stage.
During the ceremony, Prof. Tyagi talked about the nuances of research while addressing the gathering. On the other hand, Prof. Kim talked about the different nature and issues of research in South Korea and India. The attributes and qualities of a researcher were the main highlights of the address by Prof. Beniwal.
Out of 145 applications received for the participation, 45 participants were selected by the coordinators for the workshop and were given certificates during the ceremony.
