Dehradun: The “Global Exhibition on Services” organised by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India from May 15 to 18 was inaugurated by President Ram nath Kovind at Mumbaion Tuesday. Around 150 countries, 22 states and several ministries from Government of India are participating in the four-day exhibition here. Uttarakhand Government is also participating in the event.
The Industry Director Sudhir Nautiyal informed that Uttarakhand is showcasing micro and small-scale industry policy and ‘Himadari’ handicraft through the exhibition. KS Chauhan, the Nodal officer Uttarakhand Film Development Council/ Deputy Director, Information department informed that Uttarakhand is being showcased as a film shooting destination and the film policy is also being displayed. The skill development Uttarakhand presented programs showcasing the skill development of the youths of the state. Through this youth are being provided opportunity for employment and entrepreneurship. The works being done in the field of tourism were also showcased in the exhibition. In addition to this an exhibition was also showcased by ITDA, UHHDC, B2R Technology, Nainital.
The Union Minister of State Jayant Sinha and commerce and industry ministry special secretary Anup Vadhavan also viewed the exhibition of the state and enquired about the works being done in various sectors in the state. Several dignitaries from other countries also enquired about Uttarakhand during the exhibition. Director Industry Sudhir Nautiyal, Deputy Director Information and Nodal Officer Uttarakhand Film development council KS Chauhan, Deputy director Rajendra Kumar, Nodal officer KC Chamoli, Skill development Mission Uttarakhand Savej, Tourism department OP Badoni and others were present on the occasion
