Uttarakhand to give Rs. Five crore aid relief to people of Kerala suffering from heavy rains and floods: Chief Minister

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed his deep sympathies on the loss of life and property due to heavy rains and resultant floods in Kerala. To provide relief to the flood affected people of Kerala, Chief Minister has instructed to send a sum of Rs. Five crore as relief from Uttarkhand government to Kerala Chief Ministers’ Relief Fund. He also announced to donate his one months’ salary towards flood relief in Kerala. Along with him, Uttarakhand Ministers and all the BJP MLA’s will also donate their one month salary towards flood relief in Kerala.

 Chief Minister also expected from the voluntary and social organizations in the state to help the flood affected people of Kerela. Chief Minister said that the people of Uttarakhand are well aware of the problems faced due to natural calamities and can relate to the sufferings of people of Kerala. He said that the people of Uttarakhand stand with their brethren in Kerala in this hour of  need.
