Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government will duly compensate all the farmers whose crops are damaged due to rains. Whether the crop is of sugarcane or paddy, if the farmer has suffered loss due to excessive rain, he will be compensated.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued directions in this regard at a high-level meeting on Monday while reviewing progress of crop compensation assessment.
He has asked the officials to assess the damage caused to agricultural crops due to floods and excessive rains and immediately compensate thos farmers also whose houses have been damaged. “This process should be completed in maximum one week,” instructed the CM.
He said that clear instructions should be issued to the teams making assessment in the field that not a single eligible farmer should be deprived of the compensation. The government will compensate for the loss of all types of agricultural produce.
The departments of Revenue and Agriculture have been asked complete this work on top priority in coordination with each other.
